The seat you have him in here can rear face though - you just have to follow the directions for rear facing. Children are 75% safer rear facing to age 2 - it protects their spine/head. You can look up a video called Joel's Journey here on you tube - it gives some great info on rear facing vs. forward facing.

My son is still in a rear facing infant Chicco seat in my car. In my husbands he is in this one for the few times he drives in it. Thanks.

Your baby sure is adorable!
I noticed your child looks pretty young. Have you heard about the newest recommendations to keep kids rearfacing until they are at least 2 years old. Studies have shown it is 5 times safer to keep them rearfacing for as long as they can. If you haven't heard about this info, check out the youtube video titled "The Importance of Rear-Facing" or do a google search on "Rear-facing - Unmatched Safety" to see the latest recommendations.
