Clean water is a human right: the right to life, personal development and an adequate standard of living is meaningless without water. If water is available and rights are respected, however, then water can save lives and even prevent population displacement. This is the goal in places like Ethiopia, where Kemira is working for clean water in partnership with the development co-operation organisation Plan.
Kemira's cooperation with Plan focuses on:
• Helping communities and schools to secure access to clean water
• Building wells and purifying water
• Promoting the importance of hygiene and clean water
• Improving water and sanitation service
• Preventing childrens' diseases
