NCMP was introduced by the PAP government in the earlier years because oppositions did not make any headway of being elected into the Parliament in the past, except for one or two leaders. It was not introduced to deny the General Election to the people but rather for the oppositions to have their voices heard in the Parliament. Oppositions still have the fair showdown with the ruling party in the General Election, there is no design in this NCMP to dominate the Parliament. False assumption,

A driver buys insurance so that when he get into an accident, he pushes the liabilities to the Insurance company. Sadly our car insurance is very expensive becos of jack up repair payment!

I'm sure WP has many smart and passionate members. But why do they always stop their campaigns at stirring up emotions. It's not only WP. Many other parties have fallen prey to that as well. I just hope parties adopting mainly emotional appeals will be able to deliver should they be voted in.
