@johncblandii iPhone 4 has a bullseye, very few manufacturers have acheived such as result. This is all smoke and mirrors (a real problem) but a distraction from the major stuff up from Apple and I dig Apple, but they blew it.
I'm confused. So, If you put the iPhone 4 in a case, you get no attenuation, but these other phones where the antenna is already covered with a case, get attenuation. And this means the iPhone has a problem?
@Millahtime Not really. The issue with the iPhone was that you'd lose signal with the phone held in a natural position in the left hand due to the bridging of the antennas. The phrase "death grip" suggests some weird devastating hold, but it was just natural.
Apple have acknowledged this and you'll all get a free bumper/case to mitigate the issue. There will be some attenuation, naturally, as with the other internal antenna phones.
@jmattos But the iPhone 4 has a problem when held the normal way, not the wrong way. That's the point. All of these videos are showing the obvious. Every phone, if you cover the antenna, loses signal. The iPhone 4 makes it easy. From this video...the Palm Pre does not, unless you grab the phone like you're about the throw a rock.
Clarification: The spoiled idiots are the people whining about the iPhone 4.
Apple has built what is far and away the best mobile device ever constructed, and all these people can do is whine and complain about something so trivial.

I have tried and failed to repeat this on my Palm Pre.

And the real point should be… who freaking cares?
It's ridiculous that people are whining so much about loosing a bar or two when they hold their phone a certain way. Spoiled idiots.

@johncblandii Thats exactly the point, as @Millahtime explains above.
