The last but one song performed by Fairport Convention at their very own annual Cropredy Festival. A crowd favourite :-)

  • @timjsparrow I also love how nobody in the crowd who's singing knows what the lord's name is. :)

  • I was there that night and I have to say I love the Fairport music festival. I was born too late to enjoy them in the 70s but their festival really showed me how much fun folk music is.

  • I think lord Darnell's servant changed sex at least twice this year before crossing the river. The servant usually does have gender issues when Simon sings Matty, so its sought of become tradition by now.

I was disapionted that they didn't do a big instrumental on the end (they missed it off on Wintour also). They did only have 8mins to get Ledge done in, so its understandable, but still disappointing. Lets hope they bring it back for next years Wintour.

    Fantastic stuff!!!!
