Katara's Rain

Holy cow, this is my first upload since--forever.

Katara is perhaps the character I identify with most in Avatar. She's stuck between being a child and an adult. I felt that, abstractly, this song fit her and it is such a gorgeous song and it fit her waterbending so well that I had to do it. Plus, it's short. Gotta love the short songs.

I like the ending with her on the bridge and her and Aang in chrome. It was a very nice effect that worked really well.

Thanks! I actually really needed to make this. It's a different direction than I normally take and I got to explore Katara a bit and get to know her a bit better.

I know what you mean :) I made an amv with Katara that's a bit like that, too, and I think that those AMVs sort of suits her the best.

I do too. There's strength in them but she is largely a tragic character and t hey focus on that a lot in the show but sometimes i think they went about it the wrong way and it appears to have been over done. But this song, and others like it, don't have a strong underlying beat which i think lends itself to the notion of water, flow and rhythm.
