Adobe Photoshop CS3 Tutorial: The Basics of Pentool

This is an adobe photoshop cs3 tutorial on the basics of pentooling. This is mainly for Kristeli (Hi Teli!) because we seem to keep getting cutoff during tutoring on TeamViewer. With this tutorial you will learn the following:

How to use pentool
How to use Convert Point Tool
How to Add Anchor Points
How to Delete Anchor Points
How to make a Shape with pentool
How to make a Path with pentool
Simulate Pressure
Direct Selection tool

I've seen a lot of pen tool tutorials but this guy's better than any I've watched today!! it's rare to actually be a good teacher. This guy's got it!! He covers everything and lets you see everything he does. I also think it's really cool how he just played around with junk- just fooling around with inconsequential stuff really helps people open their eyes to what's going on!! Nobody else really did that to this extent- just horsing around to show you a little variety is BIG COOL!! Thanks Pimp!

If you make a shape (Any/all) how would you make an outline around it. I mean a thick stroke/outline.

If you double click the layer in the layer panel, the blending options will pop up. At the bottom is a stroke option.

Check that box and click on the word to edit the settings such as color, size, etc.

dude ok. i got the whole point of your video. thank you so much but theres one thing that i have to know. you see how you said that your brush shape is narow-fat-narow? HOW DO YOU GET THAT? mine is just a normal line its all the same width. i want it to go narow fat narow but i dont know how to do it! please! someone help me get that! where do i have to go?

how did you get the smooth wave looking type of line by messing with the brush pallet thing? every time I try to use it it ends up with a bunch of circles in it instead of being smooth and going from thin to fat to thin again.
