Fullerton Theatre Festival 2008 3rd place

Fullerton College HS theatre festival 2008. At the festival this year, there were over 2,000 competitors from more than 95 high schools! my piece for "Mens and Womens Contemporary Humorous Monologue" from The Teahouse of the August Moon by John Patrick. Got 3rd place!

Good work, kiddo, but this is a JAPANESE role. If you can drop the Chinese accent (which sounds pretty authentic Cantonese) and work on the correct one, the dynamics of this favorite speech will make much more sense (I'm a former cast member of the B'way musical version). are you serious!?! wow! i honestly admire you. yes, i had chosen this piece about a week before the festival and i failed to pick up an effective japanese accent during that time. so i just went into it with a Canto accent. i just got lucky that the judges didnt know well enough. thank you for the advice though. much, much appreciated!!!!
