Two year old Leyna has been learning with "Little Montessorian" since she was 19m. She has developed good level of concentration, independency, and good sense of order. In LM bright classroom, this 2yrs old child was busy working on her "pouring thru a funnel" activity.

  • @psychmaj323 i think i must've not typed it right or you must've misunderstood. My kid can put toy shapes into this ball google.com/products/catalog?hl=en&q=toy+shapes+ball&gs_upl=2462l6134l0l6659l16l13l0l2l2l0l330l2739l1.5.6.1l14l0&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.,cf.osb&biw=1440&bih=723&wrapid=tlif132744013504510&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=10694875084832325384&sa=X&ei=DCEfT4_UCoH3ggeCmu2xDw&ved=0CHQQ8wIwAw# He can also drink from a glass, that requires concentration otherwise you'd choke

  • @xrebelkittenx I agree, but putting a ball back into a box is not the same as pouring a cup of water into a glass with a funnel...that takes more concentration imo... but ok...

  • @psychmaj323 My child can match shapes into that ball/box thing and he is only 15 months old. He can also put things back where they were without me telling him. Dont get me wrong i like montessori but i think it just depends on the parents starting to teach kids discipline and roles in the house than wait for a teacher to do it.

  • @psychmaj323 LOL. INTERESTING

  • Holy crap she's smart

  • What many fail to see in Montessori is that it is not the activity itself which is so important, but the direct aims which are building Concentration, Coordination, Sequencing, Motivation, Self-Correction, Self-Discipline, and so much more. This is the aim of Montessori. The fact that she is pouring water is secondary.

  • @psychmaj323 my sisters could do this at 2 and run and talk open doors not very amazing to me.

  • @caesiume Yeah you can also use youtube and and type, so I'm guessing your a fair bit older than her. Funny thing is in a montessori classroon the is actually quite normal, I'm a teacher and I have a few two year old who could do this exercise, but I also know kids not in montessori who couldn't possibly sit still for that long to even understand what they are supposed to do.

  • @caesiume ok but she's two, lol and most two year olds cannot do what she just did with that amount of concentration and determination as well as follow through and towards the end she was trying to clean up something. Show me an average two year old who can do this and I'll show you a red pig
