I've never seen a reason to crush a bug just because it's there. What's the point, really? Not only is it just plain mean and unnecessary, but it also leaves a mess. I don't want ant juice on my finger...

Come on, riethc, you must see the huge difference between animals and bacteria. Pinky mentioned that animals can suffer and they have emotions, while bacteria, as far as we know, does not. Also, we have no choice but to kill bacteria on our hands and body; otherwise, that bacteria will kill/harm us. I could go on, but I just wanted to point out how silly your statement is.

Some people at my old school were right creeps. They used to crush ants or dig up worms and snap them in half. One time the gits even found a bird nest in a hedge so they crushed the eggs in it for no reson! Thats just sad, killing something that won't do anything back. And then they used to call me a nerd for writing stories about dragons........idiots......

You'd be surprised.

No offence, but something as 'insignificant' as a little fruit bat or a bird is vital to the survival of human beings as well as biomes like tropical rainforests. If they all die, chances are we're all screwed and you can kiss your much "more important" ass goodbye, 'cause you'll be doomed to death by starvation ultimately.

Turns out humans aren't the most important thing in the world after all. If anything we're the scum of the animal kingdom.

I'm not gonna hunt any whales, but I'm not going to go too far out of my way to dodge ants either. I'm not afraid of offending people though I hope not to. I'm also open to eating people because it wouldn't be fair to how I treat animals sometimes.
