ਤੂ ਕੁਨੁ ਰੇ
Ŧū kun rė.
Says Waheguru ji , "Aho who art thou?"

ਮੈ ਜੀ ਨਾਮਾ
Mai jī.Nāmā.
Says Namdev ji : "Sir! I am Nāmā".

ਹੋ ਜੀ ॥
Ho jī.
O Lord Waheguru ji!

ਆਲਾ ਤੇ ਨਿਵਾਰਣਾ ਜਮ ਕਾਰਣਾ
Ālā ṯė nivārṇā jam kārṇā.
Save me from attachment to material which is the cause of pain of Spiritual death.

ਪਹਿਲ ਪੁਰੀਏ ਪੁੰਡਰਕ ਵਨਾ ॥
Pahil purī­ė pundrak vanā.
First of all, bloomed the lotuses in the woods,

ਤਾ ਚੇ ਹੰਸਾ ਸਗਲੇ ਜਨਾਂ ॥
Ŧā cẖė hansā saglė janāʼn.
from it came into being all the creatures and the swans.

ਕ੍ਰਿਸ੍ਨਾ ਤੇ ਜਾਨਊ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਚੰਤੀ ਨਾਚਨਾ

Krisnā ṯė jān­ū har har nācẖanṯī nācẖnā.
Know, that only under command and will of the Waheguru ji the creation is dancing (came into existence).

ਪਹਿਲ ਪੁਰਸਾਬਿਰਾ
Pahil pursābirā.
First Lord Waheguru ji becomes manifest.

ਅਥੋਨ ਪੁਰਸਾਦਮਰਾ
Athon pursāḏmarā.
From that Primal Being issued forth mammon.

ਸਗਾ ਅਸ ਉਸਗਾ ॥
Asgā as usgā. verything is of that Lord Waheguru ji.

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਬਾਗਰਾ ਨਾਚੈ ਪਿੰਧੀ ਮਹਿ ਸਾਗਰਾ
Har kā bāgrā nācẖai pinḏẖī meh sāgrā.
In this garden of Lord Waheguru ji, the mortals dance like the water in the ports.

ਨਾਚੰਤੀ ਗੋਪੀ ਜੰਨਾ ॥
Nācẖanṯī gopī jannā.
The women and men dance alike.

ਨਈਆ ਤੇ ਬੈਰੇ ਕੰਨਾ ॥
Na­ī­ā ṯė bairė kanna.
Without the Lord Waheguru ji, there is not another.

ਤਰਕੁ ਨ ਚਾ ॥
Ŧarak na cẖā.
Level thou no criticism against it,

ਭ੍ਰਮੀਆ ਚਾ
Bẖarmī­ā cẖā.
as this criticism is born of doubt alone.

ਕੇਸਵਾ ਬਚਉਨੀ ਅਈਏ ਮਈਏ ਏਕ ਆਨ ਜੀਉ

Kėsvā bacẖ­unī a­ī­ė ma­ī­ė ėk ān jī­o. ||2||
The Lord Waheguru ji says, "This world and I are but one and the same"
.
ਪਿੰਧੀ ਉਭਕਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥

Pinḏẖī ubẖkalė sansārā.
The mortals of the world are stay in the continuous cycle of death and birth revolving , pots of the Persian wheel which go down in the well come up, empty and go down agaim

ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਭ੍ਰਮਿ ਆਏ ਤੁਮ ਚੇ ਦੁਆਰਾ ॥

Bẖaram bẖaram ā­ė ṯum cẖė ḏu­ārā.
Wandering and roaming in the numerous lives, I have come to thy door, O Waheguru ji.
