Featuring the Billy Taylor Trio with Dr. Billy Taylor on piano, Chip Jackson on bass and Steve Johns on drums.
One of the most exciting dancers of his generation, David Parsons went on to establish himself as a rarity: A choreographer who can actually make a living, and help his dancers survive and thrive as well. He has established himself among an elite group of crowd-pleasing modems. Since its inception in 1987, The Parsons Dance Company has developed a repertory of more than fifty original works and has toured five continents, giving more than 700 performances.
Parsons has created works for The Paul Taylor Dance Company, American Ballet Theater, New York City Ballet, Atlanta Ballet, Ballet Chicago, and the National Ballet of Canada, among many others. His works have been performed internationally by major ballet and modern dance companies.
