I love REM, but I have to say this isn't one of their best performances. Putting aside the actual issues with the performance itself, the mix is a bit off too - can hardly hear Mike singing.

Fair! I ask mainly because it was a "non-standard" performance -- Mike on guitar instead of bass, and Mike doing a lead vocal for a few seconds when Michael's voice gives out, as I recall. I'm always interested in "non standard" versions of songs, you know? :)

There are many "non standard" versions of this song because this song has been performed many many times over many many years. I will look at video again.
Many people ask for "non-standard" versions of this song. I worry this site will become a LMR site! :)

Many people request videos and many videos I upload on my site are requests from people. I am happy to upload requests but LMR is most requested song. :)
LMR is great song, but so many requests for so many "non-standard" versions of LMR. :)
