This is the very first video the Cardigans ever put out. It took me about 8 years of searching to find this. This is the first version of Rise and Shine.

If you enjoy the Cardigans as much as I do, check out my Cardigans fan site at http://www.cardifans.com

  • thanks for the upload ahh memories are mad of these !!!! nina is so freaking hot

  • This video is so simple it's genius!

  • What are all the versions of this song?

This is the version off of Emmerdale correct? Then the other music video is the version from Life, and there is an earlier version that was on the 1992 demo.

Are there other versions than those three?

  • Their best song IMO

and one of my most time favorites

check out the demo, it's ever cooler!

  • Indeed rare. This is the 1st version of the song, recorded in a weekend with Pooh Song in the Eggstones studio by Tore Johansson while they were at my label Ceilidh Productions. Thanks for putting it up. If you're interested my old label Ceilidh has released a lot of early stuff of the bands I originally signed, including Cardigans, Brainpool, Happydeadmen, Suredo, Cod Lovers, Stevepops, Bear Quartet, Sonic Surf City etc etc on iTunes and all channels we now. More unreleased stuff to come soon!

  • wow they're playing majong ! so cool

    like this version more

  • yiihaa :) thanks for doing that research... i was suffering trying to replay that clip from my mind.. thats exactly the one i first saw as mtv newrelease and fell in love with the beauty of nina and her voice and the rich relax cheer sound within this light humorous clip.. i wish they had never moved to usa and exchange their positive tune though :/

  • @SebastianSolorzano Oh no! (from a second more attentive listening listen) I think is a TRUMPET!!

  • @Iglaoavrea Me too, definitely. The second version (from "Life") is great too but this one has a higher chamber pop sense to it, sweetly crafty as if issued from an old LP. I love the cheerful yet sober effect that the english horn adds to it. It is a horn, isn't it? Or is it a clarinet? (I'd appreciate some ensuring on this matter, anyone?)

Well, anyway. This verson is the one that sticks more acutely to my ears and my heart! :-)

  • la mejor banda.....
