Bideawee works with the Humane Society of the Grand Bahama to rescue and rehome many dogs and puppies from the Bahamas. We currenly have several Royal Bahamian Potcake puppies, which is a mixed breed that is endemic to the islands. Potcakes are similar to Labs, and tend to be very gentle and sweet pups with excellent temperaments. Their new families can expect medium-sized adults, approximately 35-50 pounds. They all need housebreaking and obedience training. Check our website, which is automatically updated EVERY HOUR, for photos and bios of the puppies.

  • That's our pup! His name is now Damian, and he is beautiful, so smart, and such a sweet boy!

  • I just adopted a potcake.

  • I had NO idea what a potcake was until my podiatrist went to Turks and Caicos and adopted one! I think this is fantastic!! The homeless dogs roaming in the Carribean is just horrible. God bless the people who care about them.

  • please buy these pot cakes from the bahamas humane society.they are in big danger of getting put down. some people think they dog are dump but they are the smartest dogs i have every seen.one time a pot cake waved at me and nobody taught her how to do that.but am telling u pot cakes are very smart.they are for free at the bahamas and would love someone to care for them. :)

  • I have 3 potcakes from the Grand Bahama. My husband worked there for 18 months and he tamed the mother, uncle and 8 babies. We found homes for all the babies but 2. So we brought home four. We ended up loosing my favorite little girl. She got ill out of the blue and the vets in Ca did not know what to test for. Come to find out she had tick feavor. We treated the other 3 and they are the best dogs. So glad other people can help these wonderful dogs.
