I don't think a child should get a life sentence even for murder if it's his or her's first offense. Two or more offenses, that's a different story. I know a young man in prison now for a murder he committed during a domestic quarrel involving his mom and stepfather. He popped his stepfather and he's served 7 years so far and he's got more to do. He was 16 when it happened. I think that's too steep of a sentence when you factor in the circumstances.

It's your opinion. Claudia actually talked about "hating" on her show Monday. And jjanuary made a good point in the comment section. "Hating" is greatly over used. An opinion is not "hating".

Anyway, to the point of sentencing teenagers to life. I happen to agree with you as long as it's not murder or maybe even attempted murder. But for armed robbery and rape? I KNOW murderers who are on the street RIGHT NOW after serving only 8-15 yrs. I could go on about this but I hit my character limit.

I aint no hater but i swear to god i got so mad when these ignorant dumb ass niggas was arguing with the Poetess about sentencing a 13 year old to life and a burglar to life...they just wanna lock niggas up forever.. c'mon son..not all crimes deserve life..and if you aint an adult you sure damn dont deserve life for a mistake u done as a child... I aint sayin what they done is right..what they did was horrible... but still ...
