Walter usually leaves very little of any kind of comments; left over. He covers so much. At least if you are a Christian, listening to this...he always knew his business. Never unprepared whether you believe what he says or not. He was cool.

He was never left blushing too often for his dilligent study. I miss the guy. God Bless, him.

I didn't know him, personally. He seemed real.

Walter Martin had a lot to do with bringing my life around to Christ, to this field of apologetics

@Strefanasha He wasn't saying that you can't fault what they are being zealous about . In fact his whole discussion and point is that that their theology, which is what JW's are zealous about, is in error. He is simply saying they are diligent in what they do. A friend of mine was once in a cult, and defines cults as groups that keep you so busy doing religious works that you never have the opportunity to find the Jesus of the Bible, the real Jesus .

but if it is not in christ because their christology precludes this then it is not in love, it is self righteous. it is worthless.

I do fault their zeal.

zeal of itself is no recommendation. Any fanatic has zeal, even atheists. That they do not listen shows that their zeal is ungodly, after all scripture says "be quick to listen and slow to speak"

i am troubled by what Martin admires in the JW's

@earnesteabass , He`s Gods Son in no way contradicts Jesus`s nature, nor does it conflict with it. He is God of very God, and stated so in John 8., reflecting the very image of The "I am" at the Burning Bush stating to Moses "tell the children of Israel "I Am" has sent you. Classic Christian apologetics as Walter sets forth in his expose on the Jehovah`s Witnesses, in totally dismantling of Watchtower Theology on Who Jesus Christ is.
