to answer apclik, in his contest photos he is pretty ripped and any time you are moving a heavy weight in front of you it engages your abs, especially stability wise though there are obviously better exercises.

that may be heavy for most of us, but this guy is pretty strong- if you've seen his videos, he is excellent at coming up with new workouts. probably the best i've seen. and he is as strong as an ox. the key is not to criticize his weight load, but to learn the exercise. i've done it. it hits hard.

I hate to agree with the previous statement but its true. That is too much weight. There is also not enough rotation of the hip to even remotely effect the abs. To anyone who thinks that I'm being negative with this comment, I would say for the gentleman to show his abs to prove this "secret ab workout" works.

first of all with that heavy ass dumbell you are not hitting the abs outer or inner with any significance. There is not enough pressure to the area with you resting it on the bar for seconds each time. Cut it out Please!! Too much weight wrong exercise.
