9/11 occurred in the decade that is just ending. There's a big New Year's celebration tonight at Times Square. I would hope that folks stop at Ground Zero on the way.

Wow I remember that there were lots of doomsday stories about 1999 and 2000 around this time.

10 years ago to this day. I can't believe it! We're ending the 1st decade.

And in the decade, Peter Jennings died. Let us remember him on this day.

I remember how he spent the whole day doing this ABC 2000 coverage. He was obviously tired towards the end of it.
