@dopamining Of course it's impressive, really damn impressive...No one would ever think about something like this...You should STOP complaining about what others do...Important Challenges? Those poor guys who invented this didn't do for bad -.- if you're really really concerned about all this, go on and study yourself...of course there are lots of other people studying and working hard to make up for all those issues nowadays, but it's not everyone who could do something for it all nowadays...

@dopamining Yes, I do. I like it. Just because something is not utilitarian, does not mean it isn't of value. The technology involved isn't really new, just a twist on existing tech. You could make this a simple indoor fountain, or you can wire it up to a couple hundred dollars worth of tech and create something that will be calming and fascinating. That's cheap. Being incensed about things doesn't make anything better, either.

@Thupol Not American, and I`ve lived in Japan since 1991, surrounded by this kind of amazing, ingenious and utterly useless technology. Meanwhile, we have seriously important challenges that need to be addressed, concerning energy, population, disease. Issues that might be important to a country like Brazil, perhaps? Instead, intelligence, energy and talent is poured into distractions like 3D television, hyper-real video games and this water clock. Do you really find this so impressive?
