  • 1979, a classic horror film called "Alien" is one of the first films to enhance itself by including a relatable bunch of blue-collar, working class characters and (most importantly) a powerful, female hero.

2007, a terrible action film called "AVP: Requiem" is released as a bog-standard horror film featuring a load of stereotypical teens and a few weak, vulnerable females.

Film-making has jumped backwards centuries in the last couple of decades.

  • Yes, Ellen Ripley is definitely the Best heroine of all time. Alien saga is the greatest SCI-FI but I have a big doubt about future prequels. I hope annoying Natalie Portman won't be in it. I would like to see Milla Jovovich, Famke Janssen, Elisha Cuthbert, Kate Beckinsale, Jenna Dewan, Eliza Dushku or at least Jennifer Lopez with Lindsay Lohan but NOOO Portman

  • @Magnolia296 You'd seriously prefer LINDSAY LOHAN to Natalie?

  • Total milf

  • She looks so great these days!

  • Sigourney Weaver is great. Like to see her co star with Jody Foster in a sci-fi flick. Aliens and The Thing with Kurt Russell are timeless.

  • strong woman icon. -.- real shit

  • @TheSpartanK11 you mean,in a decent AVP movie ;)

  • Oh, and by the way, the only thing I need to see before I die is Sigourney Weaver in an AVP, as an alien and predator hunting master.

  • Now, if I were an intellagent, or at least a human being with a high school level education, I wouldn't sit in the corner saying "I'm sure everything will work itself out if we just leave the alien alone. Oh, i'm gonna go the bathroom in that dark, hidden corner over there. BYE!" I would get a gun and either A) Look for that son of a bitch, or B) Stand in a hallway back to back with someone else and be ready for the before-mentioned son of a bitch. I really enjoyed how she pretty much did both.
