awesome cover. I think a little more energy on "Last Fair Deal in the Country" towards the end of the song would add a bit more, but then again, a cover is open for interpretation and one's own stylistic input.
I know its a Grateful Dead song, but they play it so nice just the same, thumbs up to the Dead for allowing it, thats the style of the GD, they let people record at there shows, I think they were happy to share EVERYTHING, god bless Jerry. Hes gone but never forgotten.
Such a nice rendition of this tune. Saw them last night doin Kerosene Hat in it's entirety as well as Key Lime Pie it was awsome, Dave is such a great songwriter.
I love shows at the Independent. Crack rocks as it is, but this show must have been great. I got to see Johnny Hickman play at the Hotel Utah once and the rest of Cracker were there. Good times.
Intriguing info . Im gonna look at the Robert Johnson bit , cause it looks like you may be right . many Dead songs had their roots in earlier or foreign musics from Ireland etc I love Loser , my fave version , the Garcia album from 1972 , Park city UT Aug 20 , 1987 . And Cornell Univeristy May 8 , 1977 amongst other versions . And this Cracker one now .. they just jammed it and jamed it . Thanks for posting , and very good camera work as well

Not to argue a moot point, but the songs don't sound the same, nor are there any other lyrical connections other than the "last fair deal" stuff.
