Would you recommend Samana or Bavaro if you could only go to one?

@GraphixUnlimited It really depends on what you're looking for. Cindy preferred Samana: no crowds, pristine, quiet, untouched, could walk for miles along beaches and see no one but local fishermen bringing in their catch). I like it, but also liked Bavaro: big long beaches, lots of activity, more developed. (Cindy felt the beaches at Bavaro were like going to a shopping mall at Christmas)

Dominicans are descendants of African Americans,in a community on a pristine bay in the northeastern coast of the Dominican Republic. Called " Samana"

ancestors came from the United States 182 years ago, twenty years before the founding of the Dominican Republic in 1844; they were among over 6,000 freed African American slaves who settled in Samaná between 1824 and 1825
