This dead pine tree was posing a threat to the kids part of the house and had to come down. It's hard to tell from the video, but our backyard is really steep making the job even harder. His chain jumped off and caused a burr to get stuck in the track stopping the chain to not work at one point in the video, but he got it fixed.
The first guy to come out looked it over for about 30mins and called the landlord to cancel due to him not wanting to take the risk.
When Micheal(the logger) showed up to give me an estimate, quoted me a price alot lower than I expected, then took it down in about 15-20mins.
I'm just glad to see that tree on the ground without anyone getting hurt in the process.

  • I've had this happen to me cutting down tall pines. You can pull the bottom of the tree out when cut with a tractor or 4 x4 on a decent sized rope, down she comes!

  • I have plenty of them old pines to cut to... And burn them all... I dread it.
