With a crazy second half Alma improved to 4-1 (2-0 5A West) and has won Four consecutive games. This is the first time since 2008 that Alma has won Four consecutive games since their Five game winning streak that year. The Airedales traded blows and penalties all Friday Night against Vilonia, but the Airedales capitalized on the Vilonia turnovers and made two crucial defensive plays to seal the victory. With less than 3 Minutes in the 4th Quarter the Eagles James Sax was tackled for a loss by Dylan Wilson near their own 36 Yard Line and then on 4th Down and 5, Daniel Guibeau tackled Trey Lewis for a 4 yard loss to the 31 yard line. Besides the Defense, Alma's Isaac McCoy, Aaron Craig, and Ryan Saunders all contributed in the efforts as well as Austin McCourt to firmly secure a much needed win.
