it's too bad the 3pt line was only introduced in Pistol's last season :P

Pistol Pete was the greatest offensive player that has ever and will ever play; no questiones asked. Better combination of a passer ball handler and shooter than enyone ever.
-
he was the man

Cousy started showtime. Pete just brought it to new heights. Dude was badass.

As much game as Jimmer Fredette has,and he's got loads of it,the Pistol was in a class of his won. Today's NBA would be more unwatchable than it is already without the likes of him,the Doctor,Connie Hawkins....the list is long.

@nowitzki41icon Which, if true, is absolutely ridiculous.

@MrNotyag You never should have traded in your white sheets for that computer you have there. They looked better on you. They covered your face.

It is estimated that had the 3-point line existed when Pete played, his scoring average would have actually been 57 ppg.

@lakingpinas Pete doesn't need a championship to let us realize how good he was

@MrSlik25 Pete was trully before his time.
Pete Maravich scored 68 so easily on the Knick's Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe and Spencer Haywood, all future HOF players. He was like MJ scoring 63 on Bird, McHale and Parish. Too bad his teams did not build the right players around him, never had the management, coach or kind of teammates that Magic, Jabbar, Jordan or Bird had that led them to their championships.
