Smack bang in front of Mao's picture in Tiananmen Square is a Chinese flag that is lowered each day at sunset. Despite the -15 Degrees Celsius temperature when I made this clip, there were about 5,000 people behind me looking at this ceremony. In summer, that's more like 100,000 people.

  • You should have seen the falg raising ceremony in the early morning, you get a special feelings inside you as they raise the flag and as you are surrounded by strangers each joined together for this single less than a minute event they planned their entire morning for, waking up early and waiting.

  • Beautiful ceremony. Bless China and its fight against the racist Falun-Gong.
