can we get a "basics" video? a video in utter lamens terms on everything locs. alot of times i find myself jumping from vid to vid looking for answers. for example: how long one should grow hair before locs (months/length)? how much should getting starters/maintenances cost? how long after the first twist should u get ur first wash? how often should u be washing locs? and other things like that

so if u have thin locks is it a good thigng to starts freeforming cuz im doing that until april and im 1 year n 2months n i dnt have thin locks is just the sides a little bit n a couple in da bak but i double them up

very informative. but the two-strand pattern doesn't always stay visible, and it can be misleading to tell people that it does. i used to have locs started with TST and the pattern definitely went away.

Ok so if one is starting locs with two strand twist with their own hair, what are some dos and don'ts? Can one maintain the loc with palm rolling/twisting instead of interlocking like the one in the video?
