is it ok to drop some 3in1 oil into those transmission holes to lube it up? if not, what can I use?

hi i get this truck and the spur gear break i change the part but i dont remember something this is when i need your help the truck is on the ground the truck is not running when i push the truck is easy to push but when i push the truck back is a little hard to go back this is normal or what you think?

i backed off my set screw and no matter how far you go the truck still doesn't shift help me please!!!
