There's a ceramic glaze called "blackboard" or "black chalkboard" glaze that is non-toxic. It really is used to make a slate like suface to write on. Its flat black. It may be possible to fire this substance onto metal. One could certainly go to a ceramics shop and ask questions. Cooling towers are hyberbolic shapes used to dissapate heat. I wonder if a blackboard- glazed, hyperboloid ceramic object could be the best thing to use here. I'm out of my element here, just a thought!

If you are saying to use stones instead of aluminum for a heat source, does that mean I can add some pebbles at the bottom of the glass instead???

If you were to collect the Steam from this device; wouldn't that be good distilled water?

why do they ask me to watch in high definition?

what about toxins from the metal, if one were to use the water to drink. wouldn't a stone work as a heating element, it might add extra minerals to the water. I was told that some metals stick to the water elements even after evaporation. I dunno maybe someone who is an expert in water distillation would know if this is true.
