A beautiful nasheed by Qari Yassir Ad-Dosiry

The English translation

He inquires about me (unaware): what's the matter with you today?
He wants an answer from me. Indeed, nothing is the matter with me other than a wound that's cutting deep in my heart
Your inquiry has awaken the veiled heart, it was tormented in my sleeplessness
The concealed sins kept my sleep away, and intensified the cracks of the heart
While The Lord of the throne is immersing me with forgiveness, his caller is calling to the good outcome
"O disobedient folks, do repent". But I keep insisting on my stubbornness!
Into the tenebrous darknesses of a grave, where you will be forgotten by the closest loved one
If you leave the world lacking piety, then you are indeed will be lacking in your supply



يسائلني ولا يـدري لمـاذا أراك اليوم لست على مرادي

يريد إجابة منـي ومـا بـي سوى جرحٍ تعمّق في فؤادي

سؤالك أيقظ القلب المغطـى لقد كان المُعنّى في سهـادي

ذنوب في الخفايـا أرّقتنـي صدوع القلب منها في اشتداد

ورب العرش يغمرني بعفـو مناديه الى الحسنـى ينـادي

الا يا معشر العاصين توبـوا ولكني أصرُّ علـى عنـادي

الى ظلمـات قبـر دامسـات وينساك الحميم على الـوداد

فان ترحل من الدنيا فقيـرا من التقوى فأنت بغيـر زاد

speechless, what a beautiful meaning! barak Allah feek!

Jus one question, when the sheikh says "He inquires about me". Who is he referring to?

Wa feekom baarak akhie..

Apparently he's a friend of his, saying that he doesn't look as usual this day..

In exact words he says: I see that you're not as I please today.

I think his friend is not a good friend and the munshid remembered God and didn't feel as happy with sins as usual..
