Keep It Real: Chapter 6

Joe's POV

It's 12:57 and I finally find Jessie's house. This place is HUGE, and the nicest house I've ever seen! I walk up to the front door and ring the doorbell.
"Coming!" someone calls from inside the house. I wait about 20 seconds and then someone opens the door. I'm a little disappointed it's not Jessie. It's a girl who looks a few years older than me. She's kinda cute, but not nearly as beautiful as Jessie is.
"Hi! You must be Joe" she says, smiling.
"Yep, that's me. Is Jessie here?"
"She'll be right down. You can come inside if you want."
"Thanks." I say, then step inside. The house is even more incredible on the inside. It's really elegant, with a large entryway and chandelier, and a huge rounded stairdcase on one wall. "Your house is beautiful."
"Oh, thank you. I'm Sam, by the way. Jessie's sister. She talks about you all the time. It gets kind of annoying, actually..." So she thinks about me, huh? That makes me smile.
"SAM! I heard that!" I look up to the top of the stairs and see Jessie. I think I literally just forgot to breathe. She walks down the stairs and over to where Sam and I are standing, but then Sam leaves the room. "Hi Joe."
"Hi. You look amazing." She blushes, and it's probably the cutest thing I've seen in my life.
"Thanks. And what Sam said is totally not true, by the way. You know, about me always talking about you." I laugh.
"Sure. But if it makes you feel any better, my brothers would probably shoot me if I talked about you anymore. I think I drive them insane." She blushes again. "You ready to go?"
"Yup." We walk out the door and towards my car. I start to feel a little embarassed when I look at my old, used car, and then back at her house. "So where are we going?" Jessie asks me as I open the passenger door for her.
"Well, you'll just have to wait and see, huh?" I shut her door once she's inside then walk around the car and get in the drivers seat. I start driving the the theater.
"So," she says. "You met Sam. I'm sorry." she laughs, and so do I.
"Yeah, it was horrible," I say, joking. She giggles. "No, she seems nice. Actually," an idea just popped into my head. "Is she single?"

Jessie's POV

What?!? He's asking me if my sister is single? I thought he liked me. I mean, we are going on a date, aren't we?
"Um, yeah, she is. Why?"
"Well I was thinking Kevin might like her." Kevin? Who's Kevin? Ohhh! That's Joe's brother aka. the wine spiller. I breathe a sigh of relief. Thank god. "What?" Joe asks.
"Huh?"
"Why'd you sigh like that?" Should I tell him what I thought? Oh, why not.
"Oh. Well, when you asked if Sam was single, I thought YOU were interested in her."
"No! I'm not." he says. "Wait, did that thought make you upset?" I look at him and he's smirking. He glances over at me and I feel my cheeks go red. Stupid blood.
"Well, yeah. Since you're going on a date with me, I hope you don't like my sister."
"Don't worry." The car stops. I didn't even notice where we were going. I look out the window and see that we're at the movie theater. Oh my gosh!!
"We're gonna see a movie?" I ask him, very excited.
"Yeah." He looks down. "I know it's not the most creative idea, but I thought it would..." I interrupt him.
"Joe! This is awesome! You don't understand, I havn't been here since I was like 10. This is gonna be so cool!" He looks up at me and smiles.
"Good, I'm glad you're excited. Shall we go?" I nod my head enthusiastically and he laughs. I get out of the car and we start walking up to the theater.
