  • If you are still having problems with this, make sure the shifter indicator is aligned properly in the click box window. Failing that, strip the core out of the hub and check both freewheel pawl retaining springs are ok. I had this problem in 3rd and eventually lost first when one of the springs got chewed up and distributed all through the hub.
