I love product placement, especially in futuristic movies. It constantly reminds me that I'm watching a possible eventuality of my own world. It's nifty.

Also, the companies need to spend their money on something anyway. Granted, it would be better if they spent their money on actually helping people, but in the long it employs people which is always a good thing.

A few weren't product placement. Like the Chevy. But you missed the tag homer

Lol, thanks for that. Unfortunately I had no such realisation nor care for the product placement. But I do love this movie! It's a fascinating story, and the actors put it down well. And yes, this should be properly serialised in a 1970's crude fashion. And yes... everyday I see those companies and logo's. I don't own any, but they're stil just normal to see, so they don't feel like "placement" to me. The only unusual thing is... why MSN search, not Google. I suppose that's placement.

@Phenlandia 1 Product Placement is Subtle but too many MIGHT Make Seltzer & Friegburg Blush.

There's nothing wrong with product placement. Films cost money. The real problem is Micheal Bay.

There's also RC and Bacardi in the bar scene at 1:06
Here's why I hate product placement: nobody needs that much fucking money to tell a story. They piss all that money away on flashy editing and unnecessary effect sequences because they have this idea that people who've paid $8 won't sit still unless something shiny explodes every 5 seconds. The result: 90 minutes of "ooh, shiny" with ZERO story.

I honestly don't mind product placement and infact makes the movie feel more real to me cause it's not just a bunch of whacky fake companies and shit. I applaud Micheal Bay to have the balls to sell out his movies to businesses ahahahaha
