Harley Race and Ric Flair. . . &%$* yeah! I was too young to see Race in his day, but I used to love when he was Vader's manager because I got a chance to see him wrestle on VHS and found the appreciation for who he was.
Great video. I've wondered if Ric's emotion was a put-on at times in the WWE, but you can see it is genuine right here. I think Vince just milked it a little too much. I personally think it is fantastic and really shows how much Flair cares, but there was a stretch recently where it seemed like every time he came out, they made him cry.
Anyways, a great clip and I wish I could have been at this event!
He didn't cry that often. There were a few times post match. Then the 2003 celebration is Greensborro, the Hall of Fame, Wrestlemania XXIV, and the night after on RAW.
All of them were special moments, that had to do with him getting the respect he deserved. I just think it's some people looking at it being WWE produced, and finding stuff to nitpick. I don't think Flair would cry on command.

But I agree, this video was pretty touching.
