3D Studio Max - Car Ride to District 21

This shot for me, was a little more difficult to achieve. First off, the camera I'm using is a Sony Handycam Digital 8. Its few years old. The tracking was done in Adobe After Effects and the problem I was having was that I had nothing in the background to track to line up the 3D render of the model. Then it dawned on me to use the car that was infront of me as a tracking point and it all worked out. Overall I think it turned out great. I used 3D Studio Max with mental ray for the render of the model and Adobe After Effects for the composite. I was going to turn this into a small film project but I decided to just leave these as Special Effects tests. Plus I'm getting a better understanding on compositing and tracking within After Effects. Maybe down the road, I do up a parody to "District 9."
