@chosenfool eddies influences where eric clapton, jimmy page n allan holdsworth i have heard him say it myself hes never mentioned uli n all the interviews that i listened too

@AytekCan: All I'm saying is, Jon Oliva is a friend of mine and he told me that Uli Jon Roth and Michael Schenker were Criss' favorite guitarists. I'm sure Criss liked Eddie, too (who didn't?). Personally, I don't hear much Uli influence in Criss' playing, but I hear more Michael Schenker than EVH. None of it matters, though, as Criss was good enough to stand on his own. Everyone has influences; Eddie's biggest was Uli, so it all comes around eventually...

@chosenfool You are dead wrong criss idolized eddie(criss himself told me that!),prior to 1978 there was no eddie.the only M.schenker tune they ever did was too hot to handle.criss loved him till eddie came along(who style does criss mimic the most do the math)

Holy flying fuck!! this riffing is fucking Phenomenal!! I think I just nutted some, easily one of the top riff masters I've ever heard! I'm very much aware of Savatage, in my opinion one of the best bands no ones ever heard of, period, people are sheep these days, keep good metal alive \m/

@guitdude09 ...I don't consider this as "metal" It's ass kicking hard rock...Do hear any blastbeats or growlers here?
-
I'm not of a metal fan....Criss was great!!!!!

A very very talented guitarist.
Very beautfiul feel on guitar. Melodic. Yet carries all the speed a guitarist needs.
RIP

Criss Oliva is A master nobody can say anything else.. but still Savatage which is one of the best -if not the best- band ever is very under appreciated.
