A specially-written drama inspired by the events of Christmas, 1914, when German and British soldiers on the Belgian front line stopped fighting and began their own informal truce, broadcast on BBC1 christmas day 1997.
This was the second. The first was called I hate Christmas and was done a few years earlier. It was broadcast on Christmas day on BBC1 lik,e this one was.
Hi - no seriously did. I can't believe it made it onto You Tube. I filmed it in a couple of hours as I really wanted to have available light. It was the first time I'd shot with Super 16 as I'd done everything before on 35mm. It was pretty much the last thing I shot on Super 16 as well. Glad you like it. It was made about 15 years ago and I was in my early 20's.
Great video and very poignant. I remember seeing this on telly and I've always wanted to say thanks to the Director, so thanks to Ripple222 for creating this and thanks to phoben for posting.

Delightful.
I am researching the Christmas Truce, and this video is hard to rationalize as part of that, but I am so glad I came upon this.
