in the last 10 years, the US economy grew by more than the size of the economy of China. Once people figured out we were going to elect a full fledged socialist, anyone with brains pulled their money out of stock, and put it into gold if they were optimists, and brass and lead if they are pessimists.

The last 10 years of economy funded with borrowed money and devalued currency. If the bailout money ever goes into circulation via loosening of the lending practices or a run on the banks the dollar will plumet. Gold is useless unless you have it in your hands, and even then not reliable as a form of exchange. The optimists and pessimists have nothing on the realist who have bought food, water and learned to be self sufficient.

Optimists buy gold. Pessimists buy brass and lead. When it comes down to real hardship, remember your coworkers are edible.
