  • A 4 (or 5) star General never "retires". Eisenhower had to resign his commission in order to run for President in 1952. One of the first things John Kennedy did as President was to order that Eisenhower's rank and commission be restored. He died a 5 star General.

  • John Kennedy referred to Eisenhower as "General" not as President.

  • @Harpoon925 and rightfully so. I dare say Eisenhower was the greatest general of them all.

  • Pres Eisenhower picked some nice band music.

  • google "Eisenhower's death camps".

    Big surprise.
