She won't marry me! - Benny and Frida (cute!) ABBA

From the Dinah Shore Show 1976 when ABBA went to perform fernando. This is an extract from the interview when they are talking about frida and benny being engaged for such a long time... :P In the "Dinah Shore Show Frida and Benny were offered the chance to get married in front of TV cameras - an offer in the typical American style which was though refused by the couple.
From an article 1977:
I was sixteen, says Anni-Frid Lyngstad, now 31 and world-famous, sexily dressed and a woman of today. And nobody thought it was strange we got married. In those days, parents were still happy that their daughter was getting settled. On top of that, my husband was the son of a manufacturer and therefore a good catch. So I was playing housewife at sixteen years old. I realized I wasnt cut out to be married, when I had my two children. I was so unhappy. I felt really bad for the children, but thankfully my husband understood and we divorced. I have my children, and Bennys of course, with me as much as possible, because to me they are more important than ABBA. After the divorce I made myself a promise to never get married again, unless I really wanted to. The experience had been too painful!
Benny is not in a rush to get married either. Just like Anni-Frids, his marriage ended in divorce and he thinks thats a mistake you only make once.
It doesnt matter to us, he thinks. Anni-Frid and I love each other, we are faithful to each other. Besides, she always says Im married already to my job!

@Fridissima Benny engaged with Christina Grönvall after she became pregnant by him when he was just 15 years old. In 1963 they had a son, Peter Grönvall and later a daughter, Hélene. They split in 1966 and never married. Christina kept custody of the children as Andersson was at the peak of his Hep Stars' success. Peter and Helene constantly came over (when they were older) to look after Linda when ABBA was touring.
