The Eve Arden Show - Liza's Nightmare - 3/4

The Eve Arden Show, was a sitcom about a widowed mother living with her two daughters and her mother. Arden an Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning American actress, played the role of Liza in the show, which was aired by CBS during the 1957-1958 television season. Liza was a writer and sole breadwinner for her two twin daughters, Jennie and Mary, and her mother Nora, played by Frances Bavier. Bavier, an Emmy Award-winning character actress, later played Aunt Bee on The Andy Griffith Show and Mayberry R.F.D.

In this episode, Liza is scheduled to travel to Washington, D.C., to deliver a speech. She promised the twins that they could come along for the weekend. Jennie pretends to be sick with a cold, however, and stays home with Nora while Mary goes with Liza.

During the stay in Washington, D.C., Liza has a nightmare about Nora and Jennie freezing in the apartment back home because their cheapskate landlord is reluctant to turn up the heat.

I never knew this show existed,thanks for posting, the Dove ads are great, the anouncers voice at the start, I remember it so well from tv in the 50's. 60's.
