I certainly agree.. I have been following Croft's career for a few years now and I am surprised that he has not garnered more attention in the opera world. I saw him in this role at the San Francisco Opera.. he was absolutely incredible but for some reason did not get the kind of ovations I thought he deserved

He's my favorite tenor too. I agree : that he hasn't reached the status of superstar yet is puzzling to me.

his voice and coloratura is extremely hard for most tenors to surpass......gotta admit croft sets the standard very very high! if there is a tenor that can do baroque dramatic coloratura better inform me!!!

I agree. I'm resentful that he doesn't get enough attention and recognition that he truly deserves. He should've been a super star like Florez or Villazon for the past decade or so. I think he has the best coloratura among any tenors in history, not to mention the beauty of the voice. Can't get enough of him.

He is so STYLISH! And it's all so natural! Everything about his singing rings with 'elegance'! Listen to the way he starts the trill at the end of the aria, with the full resonance.... isn't it just lovely?
