@MrRcn23 If Batman is for adults why doesn’t DC push it all the way or make it a Vertigo exclusive? They won’t as most adults don’t give a fucking shit about a rich playboy donning a silly outfit and fighting criminals. It for teen not adults. And really Batman as a character isn’t that dark or interesting once you get past fifteen. He is quite frankly lame.

Why? Because they deal with themes like freedom of speech or sanity, wich is something that a little kid or a teen doesn't care about- Yes teens do care about that shit as Batman’s core audience is little boys and teens. Adults read adult material not kids fantasy crap. Spawn is for adult (well later issues Spawn as a comic has evolved) and PunisherMAX is strictly for adult readers.

@MrRcn23 It's the thematic and the way it deals with things. Final Crisis, for example, is a book that I consider mature, the same for The Killing Joke- I have never read Final Crisis but I do own The Killing Joke as it is by Moore and it does carry a Mature Readers sticker but even with Moore (who is a fantastic writer) even though he does his fucking damndest to make it dark and mature he still can’t make batman as a character less laughable. Batman is for teens nothing more.

@MrRcn23 This is why characters The Punisher appeals to adults because of not just it content but it darkness and maturity and its themes.That is why all Punisher movies are R rated and Batman has always been PG or PG-13 at best. Spawn didn’t work in PG-13 because it is adult material Batman is not he is for kids and young teens. You are doing your best to argue that Batman is a dark character for adults when he is not. Go read some Richard Laymon or D.H Lawrence.

@MrRcn23 You know, it's not extreme violence, sex and "fuck" what makes something mature- Yes but Batman has neither adult content and it’s a silly premise and the character idea makes it somewhat hard to take seriously Just break down the Batman concept. Moore and McFarlane are spot on in this short video . Batman is just plain goofy and even when they try to make the comics dark and brooding it is just laughable.

@EndlessLaymon I never said Batman was dark. I'm just saying SOME Batman stories are mature. But there's no point arguing with you, the only thing you ever do is insist and insult, you don't really answer. Also, the book thing wasn't suppossed to offend you, I meant that by no means a book rating on Amazon is a credencial of some sort of superior intelligence. I haven't read your book, so I won't criticize it.
