they claim to be rational yet all they had to do is realize that a robot that screams when you burn its hand felt no pain, didn't need to nor could ever. electrochemical or otherwise. so easy is the truth for those who seek it..

He was obviously using "soul" as a figure of speech. If you seek the truth about a "soul" in neural science you'll find that it is simplified and incorrect explanation for a collection of billions of neurons with grossly complicated connections and regulations.
