It's not a joke, HB really did that in 1973, but didn't gone any further that a prototype pilot episode.

here's A.L.I.S.
Achronism to Animated Lost In Space.

further parts of that episode are in sequel as answer to each other.

don't ask me hwy they didn't gone any futher!

  • Wow that's bad, in every way.

  • @NoGuff yes a bad copy off the original action serie and seemingly dumb, but what expect form these northamericans that time? it just did fit them normal standard issue.

  • One thing I never understood. If they got Johnathan Harris back, why didn't they get Dick Tuford to voice the robot. Was he busy?

  • @acholl980 don't ask me, ask who where from production table of HB that tima

  • Is this the one where the enemy is the Tyrannos -- a sort of pint-sized flying robot with ray guns for hands? Or were they on the Herculoids? Wow, I gotta getta life...:-)

  • @50zcarsman

to confuse lost in space with herculoids or space ghouls[that is the one i remember that have ray guns on hands]

you should get a life, or get better informs on old tv hb series

  • This did air, on the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie.

  • This aired in 1973 as part of the ABC Saturday Superstar Movie. Believe it. This was just a pilot run that was based on the 1960's TV-series of the same title. Produced by Hanna-Barbera and 20th Century Fox Television. This was awful....totally awful.

The only voice that got to do the original was none other than Jonathan Harris as Dr. Smith. Where was Guy Williams or June Lockhart? This was just a pilot run based on the TV show. And ABC aired as a special to be shown on Saturday Morning.

  • If they were more truer to the original series then i think they might of got a season or 2.Look at the great effort produced for the original Star Trek. This was a shit effort. At least Johnathan Harris did the voice other than that.

  • When this animated version of "LOST IN SPACE" debuted on 9/8/73 as the 2nd

season opener of "The SATURDAY SUPERSTAR MOVIE" on ABC,this was part

of an unsual occurence that fall,as most of the Saturday morning cartoons were

based on popularTV shows, prior to the 72-73 season, that introduced "THE BRADY

KIDS"-keep in mind, that this Hanna-Barbera version was not anything special,,

except that it was part of this unique trend, done only once. "STAR TREK" also

    debuted that same day,as well!

  • Whoa,I didn't know this was ever made. Thanx for sharing. Zod bless Youtube!

  • This must have been produced by the same people who brought you "Super Friends"

  • A Robot named Robon?

  • Typical Hanna Barbera with a crappy script from Fred Freiberger
