A recap from the past session, and what could come of Caprica if extended. Some reason the SyFy Channel wanted this show dead, and didn't do any marketing of the final season to gather up ratings to keep the show on. I will have to say the editing of the last episode looked like they knew they were axed, but it was just how it played out since the final edit was done six months before the show aired. Just as it was getting good it was canned.

  • SyFy didn't want the show dead! They aired it on their busiest nights. Why would they spend money making a show if they wanted to kill it? Caprica was awesome, but the viewer count fell every episode. It wasn't canceled because SyFy didn't like it, or because it was a bad show, but because not enough people watched it.

And while SyFy may be making some questionable choices, they are still a TV channel and have to make decisions that's best for them. There's not much you can do.

  • @dnavarre1 They did not advertise the show second session, and if I recall it aired at 10:00 Wednesday night and that is far from their busiest nights. No ratings at all left it at the bottom of the barrel in ratings over cost.

  • So I just finished Caprica 10 minutes ago only to learn it was cancelled. This is bullshit! SyFy should just stop playing shitty horror movies that no one likes and replace them with shows and movies worth watching. I think Caprica deserves a much better spot on SyFy than movies like Saw or Cabin Fever.

  • Stupid SyFy this show had the potential to become like BSG.They just decided to cancel it without telling the story. Its like saying to the fans of the show and the people who watched that show: go frak yourself, we don't care about your opinion. Idiots, you don't respect your audience. In a "perfect" world, the audience of this show would NEVER watch any other show/program of SyFy again... but this is not the case. However in the next pilot of a new show people will remember what have you done...

  • I personally stopped my cable tv service after Caprica was cancelled and stick to cyberspace for entertainment. I had some personal issues with Caprica such as replacing the Colonial military with a Tauron Gay mafia which I predicted would be a major ratings killer still it was nevertheless the only show on tv I watched other than Stargate and it was very very deep.

  • fracking bullshit man im sick of syfy canceling all the good shows fuck man. demand caprica season and and demand stargate universe.

  • I began to like it, but it came out a bit too soon after battlestar.

I think allot of us expected it to be similar to It and it wasn't, however It was just as good but in a different way.

It's like the difference between an action thriller, and a spy film.

It would probably do decently today.

  • Ahem ....sorry that's FRAKKING idiots! Damned auto spell on iPad! The rest of the world love it too u know?!
