Big Ten champion Michigan State takes on Pac Ten champ Southern California at the 1988 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. MSU defeated USC in East Lansing 27-13 on Labor Day to kick off the 1987 season, and now the two teams would have their rematch on New Year's Day.

I was only 5 when this game was played so I don't remember it, I can't believe State beat USC twice in the same season, as a State fan I hope to see something like that again.

How could you not mentioning USC pissing away this game with ridiculous turnovers? Including Rodney Peete's crushing fumble that sealed the deal.
