pillar is extremely usefull when trying to hit characters that are above you spewing out danmaku.

Pillar also has a deceiving hitbox, it hits beyond the bright part is, and because of the system, even if you block it on your feet, if you get guarcrushed you get hit for the remaininf of the sc, ugh.

I agree with you on that TMN.
Pillar was almost useless on IaMP and now it's one of Reimu's better SC. You can use it for guard crushes, combos and you can block right after it ends without much delay.
