@volday30 I have. He was a damn good Defensive Back. He was an Oiler from 1960-63,65. Played in 3 AFL allstar games.
-
oops i mean 1963
-
has anyone heard of tony banfield, he is my great uncle and he played for the oilers in 1960
-
in the 1979 afc championship if the mike renfro catch was called for a touchdown the oilers could of gone to the superbowl and won. the oilers would of never went to tennessee
-
dude what is wrong with the oilers were not kicked out the owner bud adams move them to tennessee. there now called the tennesse titans
-
At 1:40....I think #13 is Don Maynard ?
-
@FlauntyHawk- They weren't kicked out. Their greedy owner Bud "I'm a totally heartless asshole" Adams decided to MOVE the team to Nashville, after attemtping to move them two other times while sucking the life and money out the fans that supported him.

@superman93994 Oilers pass defense would havd been shot full of holes by Van Brocklin. Tommy McDonald was unstopable at that point of his career. You under estimate the Eagles pass defense. Eagles easy.

In later years, George Blanda would remain a strong supporter of AFL heritage, saying: "That first year, the Houston Oilers or Los Angeles Chargers (24-16 losers to the Oilers in the title game) could have beaten the NFL champion (Philadelphia) in a Super Bowl." Blanda said further: "I think the AFL was capable of beating the NFL in a Super Bowl game as far back as 1960 or '61. I just regret we didn't get the chance to prove it."
